UCRIA
Ucria
is located on the northern slopes of the Nebrodi Mountains, within
the Natural Park, at about 710m a.s.l. It has a total population
of 3,300 inhabitants.
The
earliest historical information on Ucria goes back to the Norman
domination, when the area formed part of a feudal dominion.
The
town is surrounded by a splendid landscape and spots, such as the
Rocca San Marco, a site of high geological interest. The sea, with
the city of Capo d’Orlando, is only few kilometres away, hence
contributing to the small town’s charm.
