Nizza
di Sicilia, formerly called San Ferdinando, is a sea resort of the
Messina province, totalling nearly 3,500 inhabitants. Grown around
a castle founded in the second half of the 17th century, it saw
the successive rule of the Rocca the Marchese – Princes of
Alcontres – families.
