Cesarò
is a small village overshadowed by Etna mount. A tremendous view
of the worldwide known volcano can be enjoyed just off town, at
the Cristo sul Monte district, which is signposted along the way.
The roads twists and turns up to the narrow pass Portella femmina
Morta e della Miraglia, through the mountain scenery and extensive
beech woods. At the top of the pass, a track leads up the summit
of Monte Soro, that with its 1847m is the tallest peak in the Nebrodi
chain.
